For once, keepin' it real didn't go wrong: Comedy Central has managed to hang on to Dave Chappelle, signing the comic for two more seasons of "Chappelle's Show."

Despite rumblings that the success of the series may have priced Chappelle out of the cable network's range, Comedy Central worked out a deal with him to produce 26 more episodes of "Chappelle's Show." The new contract also includes a development deal for Chappelle.

"Re-signing Dave Chappelle was a top priority and I am just so pleased that we were able to reach an agreement," says Lauren Corrao, Comedy Central's head of original programming and development. "Comedy Central is the rightful home for 'Chappelle's Show' and Dave's unique and provocative brand of humor."

"Chappelle's Show" has been both a ratings and critical success for the network. It draws more than 3 million viewers per week, and typically is among the top-rated cable shows in adults 18-49 and the hard-to-reach young male demographic. The show also picked up three Emmy nominations last month, including one for outstanding variety, music or comedy series.

"The success of the show has been phenomenal and overwhelming. I'm looking forward to coming back to Comedy Central," Chappelle says in a statement. Echoing a line he yells over the show's closing credits, he adds, "And now I'm actually rich, bitch."

New episodes of "Chappelle's Show" are scheduled to premiere early next year.
